Greek Maritime Cluster
On the initiative of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping (NEE), the Union of Greek Shipowners (UGS) and the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the internet site of the Greek Maritime Cluster, entitled “Maritime Hellas navigate the Greek Cluster”, was established. The site was put into effect and organized by NAFS, the non-profit organization of NEE.
It is an internet “Shipping site, the first and only platform for the wider maritime sector”, covering the whole of Greece and offered to every company in the field, freelance professionals, P & I Clubs, Classification Societies. All sectors and ancillary maritime activities that are comprehensively mentioned in its information section can register in it.
It is a non-profit, non-subsidized organization that will be led jointly by a Steering Committee of the Presidents of NEE, UGS, PCCI and NAFS.
The subscription fee for a 3-year period is €150 (€60 registration fee and €30 per year) and any financial surplus will be made available to Maritime Education.
Ocean-going shipping is the backbone of the existence and development of any maritime cluster. It is therefore crucial that shipping companies are registered in “Maritime Hellas” in order for it to become the organization that it should be and in order to obtain the necessary momentum.
